Wilson Contreras’ RBI double gave the Chicago Cubs a 3-1 lead over the Cleveland Indians in top of the fourth inning. The deep drive was misplayed by center fielder Rajai Davis, who broke in on the ball. It was not misplayed by a fan hanging out by the railing above the wall in deep right-center.

The over-aggressive ballhawk decided to hop on over the railing and sprint along the landing area just above the wall. To be fair, he got a great jump. His opportunity for a souvenir was thwarted when the ball stayed in the field of play.

One has to assume he was given a stern talking-to, or was just plain ejected, if his dash was noticed by ballpark personnel.  They probably don’t want people doing that, especially in Game 7 of the World Series.
