Trump Once Affirmed that He'd Fire Goodell

At a rally in Massachusetts this past January, Donald Trump was asked if he would fire Roger Goodell if he became president:

Unilateral action here does not fall under the power of the executive branch. But, when you consider Trump’s relationship with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, it would not be inconceivable for Commissioner Goodell to one day find himself in the president-elect’s crosshairs.
