Lindsey Vonn has been all over social media promoting her book “Strong is the New Beautiful” and showing off her training work on the slopes and in the gym. Unfortunately on a training run Thursday, the 32-year-old crashed and fractured the humorous in her right arm.
Vonn has battled a number of injuries over the years, mostly to her knees. Three times in the last four years she has dealt with a knee injury, twice to her right knee and her 2016 season was cut short by a hairline fracture in her left knee. Despite that setback, she finished the 2016 season second in the overall standing and won the downhill title for the eighth time.
Vonn is still at the top of her game, and not just on social media. She holds a record 20 season titles, and her impressive resume also includes a record 38 downhill victories.
Hopefully she’ll make a speedy recovery, and hopefully the injury doesn’t prevent her from continuing to absolutely kill it on Instagram.
