Look at This and Tell Me Western Michigan Shouldn't Be Ranked Second

Alabama and Western Michigan are the only two unbeatens in college football. Broncos fans are enjoying their time in the spotlight and anticipation for College GameDay‘s visit has reached a fever pitch. Conventional wisdom suggests the Crimson Tide would easily roll over the team from Kalamazoo.

But that’s just on paper. And paper can be altered. For instance, you could draw this chart on it and begin to think that Western Michigan is clearly the second-best team in the nation and deserving of a date with ‘Bama.

Any true believers in the transitive property will love this. Western fans would be quick to point out this is as close as Eastern Michigan will ever get to a Top 10.

Washington and Oklahoma are outside the Kevin Bacon range of six degrees of separation. I have no idea if that’s good or bad. Probably neither since this all means nothing but is, if nothing else, something interesting to look at.
