UConn Has Now Gone 28 Offensive Possessions Without Scoring

UConn is not closing strong. The Huskies lost 30-0 to Boston College. This was their second-straight game being shut out UConn lost the last one 21-0 to Temple. They scored three points at East Carolina the previous week.

Discounting end of half drives, the Huskies have had 28-straight possessions without scoring. Their point total, 0, is lower than the number of turnovers (6) over that stretch and points scored against them by opposing defenses (7).

UConn has had 41 drives without scoring a touchdown. The Huskies’ last touchdown came in the 2nd quarter of their 24-16 Civil Conflict loss to UCF.

Here was UConn head coach Bob Diaco explaining why UConn opted for a fake field goal on 4th and 18 while trailing BC 7-0 in the second quarter.

Yeah, it’s not a fun time to be a Connecticut fan.
