The Los Angeles Rams did not cut back on their playbook for Jared Goff in his debut. He handled that by not getting one single delay of game penalty. Jeff Fisher cited that as evidence that Goff did a really good job. Avoiding delay of games is one of the key indicators of success for a first overall pick.

Case Keenum also did not have any delay of games last week, but the Rams only scored 9 points, not 10 like this week. Case Keenum does have two delay of games on the year (well, other than intentional ones on a punt). He was 2 for 2 for 57 yards and 2 first downs on the play that followed. Maybe the Rams need to embrace delaying the game.

Goff finished 17 for 31 for 134 yards (4.3 yards per attempt) with 0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, 0 delay of games, and 0 celebration penalties.
