What was Matthew Stafford thinking here? Franchise QBs have to slide, yet Detroit’s Stafford just ducked his head and a 290-pound defensive lineman drilled him. Stafford’s helmet popped off, and while it looked really bad, the QB was fine.
The Lions and Jaguars are tied at 9, and the offenses have both been anemic.
A potential 2nd half story: Jacksonville QB Blake Bortles went to the locker room after taking a hit to his shoulder in the first half, so backup, Chad Henne, took a knee on the final play of the first half. It’s unclear who will start the 2nd half.
