Vontaze Burfict Continues His Pattern of On-Field Mayhem, Injured Robert Woods With Late Hit

Vontaze Burfict will never change. And we know that Marvin Lewis will stick up for his behavior. On the scale of Burfict offenses, it says something that this doesn’t register as the worst.

Early in yesterday’s game, Burfict came in and hit Woods in a pile after he had gone to the ground. Woods suffered a knee injury as his knee was already starting to bend, aided by the force of Burfict bending him back. It easily could have injured his teammates as well.

This play may have been one of the things that had fans worked up, and then Burfict flipped them off later in the game. Expect more discipline for Burfict. He should be close to lengthy ban, if not an indefinite one given his history.
