Jurgen Klinsmann Thanks U.S. Soccer Fans In Heartfelt Video Message

Jurgen Klinsmann was fired as the United States men’s national soccer team coach on Monday, and Bruce Arena will be taking his place. On Tuesday evening Klinsmann posted a video to his Facebook page thanking the fans and players for supporting him for more than five years:

That was an incredibly classy message from Klinsmann and fit his relentlessly positive style.

While Klinsmann didn’t get it done on the field as often as necessary, he was always a good guy who deeply cared about the development of soccer in the United States. Things didn’t work out in the long run, but Klinsmann made deep contributions to the sport in America and hopefully will continue to do so.
