The South Carolina Gamecocks (like many college football programs) will be conducting a practice on Thanksgiving Day. It’s part of the schedule that has seen games extend for most programs past Thanksgiving. It’s just one of the many examples of where football players on scholarship are not normal students, free to return home to family on a shortened holiday week.
Will Muschamp, though, took it a step further in dismissing it, as way of explanation for why they were practicing.
Of course, he’s wrong. It’s several meals, all day long. And naps. One doesn’t win the championship of life this way, coach Muschamp.
