Thon Maker appeared in the 5th game of his NBA career on Tuesday during the Bucks win over the Cavaliers. Maker scored 4 points in an epic showdown with Chris “Birdman” Andersen. Andersen was guarding Maker late in the 4th when he tripped over his own feet while attempting to defend Maker’s crossover. Birdman went down and Maker drained an 18-footer from the corner.

After the game against the Cavs, Maker, the 10th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, has now played a total of 16 minutes. Only Steve Novak has managed to play fewer minutes for the 8-8 Bucks this season. No matter how old you think Maker really might be, he still has plenty of time to live up to his own claim that he’s a modern version of Kevin Garnett.
