Earl Thomas Tweets that He Is Contemplating Retirement

Earl Thomas was carted off with a leg injury in the first half of Sunday Night Football this evening after colliding with his teammate Kam Chancellor. Though the Seahawks officially characterized him as questionable to return tonight, it appears possible that the team could be without him for quite some time.
Thomas, as the game is ongoing, just tweeted:
This game has been so good to me no regrets.. A lot is running through my mind including retirement thanks for all the prayers.

That would be quite the abrupt ending for what has been a phenomenal 6.5-year career. His big hit on Gronk a few weeks ago — legal, but brutally punishing — was emblematic of how he played. (Gronk’s maybe-too-early return from this hit against the Jets was a possible subject of dismay in his camp.)
This story is certainly worth keeping tabs on. Maybe it’s a hack?
UPDATE: The early report on Thomas’s leg injury does not sound good:
#Seahawks S Earl Thomas suffered a broken bone in his leg in the first half, sources say. He's out indefinitely. Brutal injury.

UPDATE II: Michele Tafoya said on the NBC broadcast that Thomas has a cracked tibia.
