Chris Sale has reportedly been traded to the Boston Red Sox. The Chicago White Sox will receive a heaping amount of young talent in return, with infielder Yoan Mocada, pitcher Michael Kopech and two other prospects going to the South Side.

If the trade is finalized, the Red Sox will immediately become favorites to win the American League pennant by bolstering an already strong rotation of David Price, Rick Porcello, Drew Pomeranz, with Clay Buchholz, Eduardo Rodriguez and Steven Wright as options at No. 5.

Sale has finished in the top five of AL Cy Young voting in four consecutive years and sports a 3.00 career ERA. His unhappiness with the White Sox franchise became very public after he went Edward Scissorhands on the team’s throwback uniforms before a July start.
