Fox Sports Host Rob Stone: Five Events in Three Sports All Over the Continent Since Last Week

Rob Stone has the presitigious distinction of being the first three-time guest on the Glass Half Empty podcast! He has been very busy of late.

“It started last month,” he says. “On Tuesday the 29th it was LA to Toronto for the MLS Eastern Conference Championship Leg 2. That was taped Wednesday. Then I flew the next morning to San Francisco to get ready for the Pac-12 Championship Game. That was Friday, December 2nd. When that game was over I boarded a red eye to Indianapolis, which landed Saturday morning. Later that night I did the Big Ten Championship Game.”

And he wasn’t done yet.

“Then, I did another red eye back to the West Coast — it was delayed due to flight issues — to LA, and then to Hawaii for the Pearl Harbor Invitational [in college basketball], and then last night I took the red eye from Honolulu to Toronto, which is where I am for the MLS Cup Saturday live on Fox.”

In the conversation, we discussed how he prepares for these events, when they are so clustered together timewise yet scattered apart from a sporting and geographic perspective. Then we covered Wisconsin blowing a 21-point lead to Penn State, whether he would have preferred to have Michigan or Ohio State in that game, Goldberg squashing Brock Lesnar, Jurgen Klinsmann getting fired, and the potential for a snowy MLS final. Hope you enjoy!
