Bills-Steelers Was Delayed Because Snow Removal Caused Rubber Overload on Field

It is snowing in Buffalo today, and as the crew at Ralph Wilson Stadium was removing the snow from the field at halftime the plows dredged up gobs of rubber pellets that were beneath the field’s surface. With all of the rubber on the field, the game was unplayable.
Meanwhile, when the game resumes there could still be some issues with the field:
Those black pellets provide cushion. When snow removal causes them to accumulate on the sidelines in Buffalo, the field gets even harder.
