Odell Beckham Jr. was slogging through a pedestrian, snoozer of a game Sunday night as the New York Giants trailed the Dallas Cowboys 7-3 late in the third quarter. Then, essentially out of nowhere, ODB unleashed his blazing speed for a 61-yard touchdown reception to give the Giants the lead 10-7.
As he often does, Beckham displayed his eye-popping speed as he flew past the entire Cowboys defense for the score. It was unbelievable. It didn’t look like he possibly had the angle to get the edge and run past everyone. Yet somehow he did.
Beckham is moody and often unreliable, but man is he explosive. It’s really astonishing how fast he is with the ball in his hands. He’s a special player and you’re almost willing to forgive everything else because of just how good he can be.
