Ryan Tannehill Has ACL Injury, Had to Wipe Tears Away as He Returned to Sideline with Teammates [UPDATE: ACL and MCL Sprain, Not Tear]

Ryan Tannehill left the game today near the end of the 3rd quarter after taking a hit to the knee. He did not return. According to multiple reporters in Miami, Tannehill’s injury is to the ACL and he is done for the season.

[UPDATE: Today, it was announced that Tannehill has an ACL and MCL sprain, not a tear, and there has been no timetable for his return.]

Matt Moore took over at quarterback as Miami held on to beat Arizona, after the Cardinals came back to tie it. Moore will now be the starter for Miami over the final three weeks, as they try to get a wildcard spot. Miami (8-5) is currently tied with Denver for the final spot after today’s results.

An emotional Tannehill returned to the sideline in the fourth quarter, and could be seen wiping tears away as teammates consoled him.
