Michael Floyd was arrested early this morning for a DUI in Arizona, according to Arizona Sports. Floyd was found unconscious at the wheel of his automobile at 2:48 in the morning in Scottsdale. The Arizona Cardinals had played a game across the country in Miami earlier on Sunday, losing in a close game that effectively ended the team’s playoff chances (Arizona is mathematically alive, but must win out and have Seattle lose every game).

Michael Floyd has been a huge disappointment in Arizona. This is his fifth season with the team, and he is an unrestricted free agent after the season. I don’t think they can bring him back and this news should just cement that decision. After having a 1,000 yard receiving season in 2012 at age 24, Floyd has regressed. This year, he is catching less than half the passes thrown his way, and has only 446 receiving yards.

Floyd also had a DUI in college at Notre Dame. The former first round pick will probably draw interest because of his size, but will be turning 28 next year and cannot be termed a prospect anymore.
