Grayson Allen Might Have Had the Flop of the Century Tonight, And It Worked

Grayson Allen, who personally made my life hell when he took over against Wisconsin in the 2015 national championship game, got away with one of the more egregious flops in basketball history this evening against Tennessee State. He went up for a layup, simultaneously missed said layup while acting like he’d been shot, and drew the foul.

The lesson, as always: cheaters sometimes prosper.

UPDATE: As several readers have pointed out, Allen’s back foot gets tapped on the way up. In summation: probably not flop of the century, but nevertheless appears to be quite exaggerated given the level of contact.
