UCLA Freshman TJ Leaf Takes His Shot With Taylor Swift On Twitter

TJ Leaf has been great for UCLA during his freshman season so far. While the 6’10” forward hasn’t garnered the national attention teammate Lonzo Ball has, he’s still a huge part of the Bruins’ 12-0 start. On Saturday Leaf — perhaps overestimating his newfound fame — took a shot on Twitter and asked Taylor Swift when she was going to come to a game.

Look TJ, I appreciate the effort, but you’re like the third most famous guy on a college basketball team and Taylor Swift is one of the most famous women in the world. You may have gone in for the kill a bit early here kid. You’re a 19-year-old college kid, she’s a 27-year-old 10-time Grammy winner. Maybe keep your head down for a few years, make it to the NBA, then take your chance.

Leaf is averaging 17.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game through 12 contests.
