James Hardy, who played two seasons for the Buffalo Bills after being drafted in the second round in 2008 out of Indiana, has been identified as a body found in the Maumee river near Fort Wayne. Hardy was 31 years old.

There are no details yet on what happened to cause Hardy’s death. Family members had reported him missing a few weeks earlier. Three years ago, Hardy was committed to a mental institution after attacking three police officers in Los Angeles.
