Tom Savage Threw Two Interceptions, Then Had a Two-Word Presser

Tom Savage, who was Bill O’Brien’s pick to start over Deshaun Watson, was less than stellar against the Baltimore Ravens. He threw two interceptions, including one on a potential game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter. Something like that can hurt a man’s confidence. So can showing up to a largely empty interview room to discover no reporters want to talk to you.
Savage’s two-word, four-second performance didn’t tell us much. It should be noted that he did share some actual thoughts and full sentences to real humans a bit later.
Tom Savage conducted interviews in the locker room and was a stand-up guy who was accountable for his play. The media wasn't in the press room when he entered. We were in the locker room. He stayed at his locker, though, and made sure he spoke with us before it closed
