Ryan Shazier May Never Play Football Again, Neurologist Says

Ryan Shazier, the hard-hitting linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, suffered a spinal cord injury making a tackle against the Bengals in the 1st quarter Monday night, and there haven’t been any updates on his condition.

Shazier clutched his lower back when he fell to the turf, and then couldn’t move his legs and simply rolled over. The Steelers say there will be an update on Shazier at some point today, but the fact they haven’t mentioned whether or not he has feeling in his toes three days later is a scary sign.
