New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis was brilliant in Tuesday night’s overtime victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 37 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He also salted the game away by knocking down two free throws to give his team a four-point lead with .6 remaining in the extra period.

But those two points did not come without some serious discussions. Porzingis appeared to ask about missing the second attempt before even approaching the stripe for his first shot. After sinking it, Porzingis once again turned to teammates for strategic support. Here he is asking Courtney Lee if he should brick it intentionally.

Lee, possessing a firm grasp of math and late-game theory, provided the correct answer and an incredulous look. That’s veteran leadership right there.
