Here’s Michael Strahan, his fiancée Nicole Murphy, a random and The Captain. The photo was taken at a Pro Bowl pre-Grammy party two Sundays ago. I don’t understand why they were wasting their time at the Grammys when the most important game of the year was on. Read the rest of this entry »

New Orleans Saints versus Indianapolis Colts – The Super Bowl. The big game. The contest we’ve been waiting weeks for. These two gentlemen in the picture will be battling head-to-head despite never actually stepping on the field of play at the same time while the clock is running. Read the rest of this entry »
Seriously, you’re getting semi-serious answers from real football players and you stick Jared Fogel in there by calling him a celebrity? This is just below the Page 2 senior director being introduced to pizza by the guy from Papa John’s. I guess I can’t say anything though. The people from MTV gave me a thousand dollars to promote Jersey Shore this season. Also, eat Wheaties and drink Captain Morgan!
Last night LeBron James went for a cool 23 in the first quarter, 35 at the half and 47 for the game. He also had 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. (And 5 turnovers! Fraud!)
For some reason, Shane Battier has decided to grow a mustache. Yahoo! appears to have the first high-quality image of the facial hair. Lindsey Vonn was featured on this week’s cover of Sports Illustrated. As you can see from the photograph, she is simulating downhill skiing. Since she is sans helmet and smiling at the camera, someone decided she was being sexualized. That someone was Dr. Nicole M. LaVoi. Her original post was reposted on Women Talk Sports.
Over the last 60 years researchers have shown that about 4% of all SI covers have portrayed women.
When females are featured on the cover of SI, they are more likely than not to be in sexualized poses and not in action–and the most recent Vonn cover is no exception Read the rest of this entry »
The main event this Saturday is between Randy “The Natural” Couture and Mark “The Hammer” Coleman. These are two legends of the sport who were originally supposed to meet at UFC 17 in 1998. The bout was canceled when Couture went down with an injury. Mark Coleman went to Japan and it looked like this fight would never happen. Read the rest of this entry »
