The main event this Saturday is between Randy “The Natural” Couture and Mark “The Hammer” Coleman. These are two legends of the sport who were originally supposed to meet at UFC 17 in 1998. The bout was canceled when Couture went down with an injury. Mark Coleman went to Japan and it looked like this fight would never happen. Read the rest of this entry »

Isiah Thomas could replace Mike Dunleavy. The Isiah Thomas. Seriously. According to Jeff Goodman of FOX Sports, the Clippers have reached out to Thomas about becoming the coach, GM and team president.
I honestly don’t know what else to add.
Its finally time. Kind of. I mean, you have to wait until Sunday. I’m sure you’re all aware of when the Super Bowl actually takes place, right? I hope so. It’s 2010. You’ve had a few years to get used to the schedule. Pregame starts at 8am, kickoff at 6… something. Its sometime after 6. I’m not 100% sure. Who can remember something that specific? JaMarcus Russell attended whatever game Kevin Harlan and Doug Collins were working last Thursday (Suns-Mavs maybe?) and the cameras caught him court side fully blinged-out. Seriously, have you ever heard two people more disgusted with the way someone had spent their money? I completely agree with them, but they sound like disappointed grandparents.
Former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber attended the Kings-Spurs game last night at his home away from home, ARCO Arena. He caught up with Tim Duncan before the Spurs’ win and they posed for one of those pictures that all fans have to take with fighters – clenched fists. Its super-badass. Faber will co-headline the WEC’s first PPV event in April in ARCO. I have no idea if Duncan – or any fans – will buy the $44.99 PPV.

Tim Tebow’s potential drafter – the Jacksonville Jaguars – employs a detractor! Three-year veteran, Uche Nwaneri posted some critical words about Tebow on the Jaguars official message board. It’s pretty much everything that everyone has been saying about Tebow for the last couple years, but this is from a lineman on the team that many think will actually draft Tebow.
