Olympics Heading To Rio in 2016

1-liner, Olympics 9 Comments »

Rio de Janiero, Brazil won the bid to host the 2016 Olympic games beating out America’s favorite lovable loser, Chicago. Obama and Oprah couldn’t do anything as Chicago was the first city voted out of the Olympic house. Crime may have been a factor as Chicago has nearly a quarter the number of murders that Rio does. Of course, it could also have to do with everyone hating America - most notably the US Olympic Committee. Hey, there’s always 2020, right? (AP, Olympic Sports)

rachel-stevens-calendar-2010-06One recommendation for tonight - watch or DVR Anvil: The Story of Anvil on VH1 at 10pm. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve got the DVR set and have heard nothing but great things about this movie. H/T on that one goes to Nug.

This is Rachel Stevens. The picture is from her upcoming 2010 calender. If you enjoy what you see here, feel free to check out the other months.

So it’ll probably be mostly me today with possible special guest appearances by Hernia and Mr. B. Lead. Send tips and what-have-you to alumnigonzo@gmail.com. And as always, follow me on Twitter, it’s where I derive all my self-worth.

PM Roundup: The Return

Baseball, MMA, NBA, NFL, Olympics 71 Comments »

Yes, yes. It’s the return of the PM Roundup. It’s like The Roundup, but in the afternoon - filled with one-liners that were never meant to be. You’ll struggle to find anything resembling a mention of the economy or the end of days. (Except for right there.) Just a nice looking lady and some weird shit outta Florida.

The pretty lady is Maxim UK cover girl, Elle Liberachi. Based on a few moments looking at her pictures, I’ve decided she’s just like Marisa Miller. Except with an accent. Yeah, Marisa Miller with an accent. That’s good stuff…
