Well, all I can say is you made a wise decision firing this clown. I am born and raised in New Orleans and was APPAULED at his comments about my city and my team. I’m sure he is bitter due to his obvious obesity and lack of personality. I would rather not stoop to his level, so I won’t. Fact is, he was about as much as a journalist as he was an athlete. A JOKE!

Guys,

You guys are usually pretty on top of things but Whitlock is probably one of the worst sports columnists America. He’s boring on PTI despite his cheap attempts to be funny, he’s always wrong with his predictions and he has somehow convinced himself he was a star athlete because he played at Ball State.

Every week he picks on Ohio State or Cincinnati in some sort of capacity, it’s pathetic and both entities make him look like a fool each and every week. I’m curious, what makes him so interesting? He doesn’t really seem to even know anything about sports. This is a guy that, if you watch PTI, didn’t even know who Lleyton Hewitt was but tried to have a take on a grand slam tennis tourney. He’s a fraud and he knows it. You should be ashamed of yourselves for liking him!

I agree with a lot of what JW has to say but he has ZERO tact when it comes to explaining a lot of his positions.

JW could have left ESPN giving off the same basic impression he did but unfortunately he resorted to ad hominem attacks which just make me disregard any argument.

What a shock…Jason Whitlock implodes once again. He has a history of doing this — check out why he “left” 2 different radio stations in Kansas City. His knowledge of sports and the depth of his writing is so limited, and he gets away with it by being “controversial.” He is so overrated it is unbelieveable. His mission in life is to call attention to himself (by playing the race card generally), and the people in Kansas City knew his firing at ESPN was inevitable. Fortunately, his national platform on ESPN has come tumbling down we all are spared listening to him for now. However, for those of us living in Kansas City, we continue having to endure him in print until he self destructs again and the Kansas City Star realizes what a number of his previous employers have already concluded that he is just not worth the trouble…and life can go on without the rantings ofJason Whitlock.
