Haven’t read the comments yet, but shouldn’t trainers just tell the jockey to feign falling off shortly after the start of the race? I think as long as it looks like an accident, the horse can still win.

It doesn’t matter where the horse finishes relative to the field, as he is disqualified. The horse in the video outran the field, but did not win the race.
