Is it possible that they were mistaken that it was an Eastern Conference team? Because Pierce + 1.05 for Oden AND Portland’s 2008 1st rounder is laughable.

I’m wondering if the Rockets offered Yao (5 time all-star) and their pick for Oden + the ‘08 pick…?

How about the team in their division that offered “a hall of famer and a standout rookie.” As in Garnett and Foye.

Pritchard needs to shut the F up. The guy also says that a “prominent player” on the team demanded that he trade Randolph. I’m sure Brandon Roy is thrilled that his GM sold him out like that.

unfortunately for me, i was just writing a post on this story…

it has to be Pierce and the No. 5 pick. it also looks like Portland was offered Garnett and Randy Foye.

the story also says Portland was offered a first ballot HOF from a western conference power. the only names i could come up with being first ballot in the west were Garnett, Iverson, Kobe, Duncan and possibly Nash or Nowitzki. Of those I think only Duncan and Nowitzki could be on teams called a “Western Conference Power.” so who was it Duncan or Nowitzki? My money would be on Duncan because Oden seems like a San Antonio type of guy.
