Darrell-

TV and print have dubbed Madison Square Garden the “mecca” of basketball. There is an inherent problem with that statement. It isn’t.

The Knicks haven’t been relevant since the mid-90’s and that was a flash. They haven’t won anything since the early 70’s.

College basketball in New York is irrelevant except for 4 days when the Big East tourney plays there in March, then it suddenly become over-valued because it’s in New York.

Wins in any power conference tournament are disproportionately valued because of the committees emphasis on the last 10 games. It’s not unique to the Big East.
