Elat44-I agree with you on the Whitlock report drawing comparisons between Imus and Vick. If Vick had issued a political incorrect slur, the NFL would have fined him and might have given him a game suspension but that faux paux would have been grounds for criminal prosecution. What the hell is the NAACP doing jumping in on another celebrity case when there are poor kids out there getting the shaft by the criminal justice system that needs that organization’s support more than a wealthy athlete with means. Whitlock jumped off the deep end with his talk about giving someone 2nd and third chances-to what-commit another crime? I agree Vick should not be prejudged once he serves his time but if the guy gets into more trouble, then he might end up throwing a football from a penitentiary yard.

D) Whitlock is hit and miss…and in this case, he missed. People who don’t seem sincerely contrite about heinous crimes do not deserve our sympathy. I don’t think Vick is going to make a serious mental turnaround THIS week.

IF the reports about Vick not admitting to killing dogs and gambling are true…..he’s not being contrite. Or honest. He wouldn’t have plead out if those allegations were false…we’d have been hearing him all month publicly denouncing those claims. Instead a star athlete is accepting a YEAR in jail or so? Kardashian is hot as balls. This cannot be denied and I would totally get to second base with her if I had the chance (I’d stop there because anything I touched her below the belt with would dissolve from the toxins). However, the reason she infuriates the readers here is because she is in the same class as Paris: famous for nothing. We know who she is because she bones everyone and gets her picture taken. Also, she showed up at the Nicole Brown-Simpson benefit. Considering her dad got OJ off the hook, that was poor taste.

I agree with Whitlock for the most part, but you can’t suspend Pacman who hasn’t had his day in court yet, and not suspend someone who has pleaded guilty to a federal crime.

Intentions and ability to rehabilitate may be totally different, but Goodell has forced this issue upon the league and now has to uphold it.
