Don’t you find it a tad odd that Gary Bennett is outed, a former teammate of Pujols, and not Pujols himself? If this guy had info on the two, which one would he rather give up?

And as far as red flags on players…this list really illustrates such things are extremely hit and miss. Pettite didn’t have a single physical red flag, he was outed by Grimsley. Clemens is different, he was pitching absurdly well into his 40s, and seemingly getting stronger as his career wore on, much like Bonds. A lot of these players sucked…so obviously even the non standouts were using in large numbers. If you think about it, those are the players with the most to gain. These guys on the fringe are fighting for an MLB check instead of a AAA check. Guys like Clemens and Pettite, Bonds and Tejada, they will have be at LEAST decent without these drugs. In many cases, they would still be exceptional.

Albert is a totally different story. This guy broke in as a masher and hasn’t stopped since he got in the show. Could he be using? Sure. Absolutely, but if they busted a nobody like Bennett from his team and didn’t get any dirt on them…its probably not there.

And the other valid points I made from this blog being pretentious still stand unrefuted.

I don’t see how he gets in at this point. With the level of detail that this report provides of his cheating, it’s going to be hard for anyone to vote him in at this point.
