Yes, this makes perfect sense. Because of course the Pats would have attempted to run as much against a ‘real’ run defense.

The Pats will do on offense whatever you allow them to. Maroney hadn’t even seen the field in two weeks. Then he gets 26 touches. Guess what, it’s not an accident.

Stick any of the QB’s that you listed as being “behind” Garrard in there with that run game and they have the same numbers, if not better. While the conditions weren’t great, they were nothing compared to the Browns/Bills game. And they sure weren’t bad enough in the first half to justify the awful passing by Garrard.

Regarding David Garrard: Come on, stick 75% of the other starting quarterbacks in the NFL in his place against Pittsburgh in the snow, against that pass rush, and they’ll fold like accordions. He’s pretty damn good.

Sterlin – I’m just looking for holes in the Pats, that all. Nobody seems to mention the passing in bad weather factor … but it was pretty clear today that Moss and Welker can’t do their magic in crap weather. Not sure if San Diego could pull the upset, but Jacksonville and Indy will definitely have a chance. This is NOT to say either is better than the Pats … duh

What happens when an opposing teams Offense has to play the Pats D in crap weather? Never forget the Jets score only three points if Hansen doesnt get a case of Butterfingers.

Kudos to the Jets though, they played really well and the option was cool to see.

garrards coming out party? two of his three touchdowns the receiver was literally uncovered and he completed 51 percent of his passes and should have had at least two or three more picks. that is a running team first and foremost
