On Simmmons, what made you guys read his newest column? I read Simmons often and like his work most of the time (read: His NBA Stuff) but when I see this “It might be the toughest decision of Bill’s life: The 1986 Celtics vs. the 2007 Patriots. Ultimate breakdown” I do not click. I think it pretty obvious what its about and that I have not interest and would take a recommendation for me to ever read it. What made you guys click?

If you watched the Duke game, Mike Patrick loves Jon Scheyer. When Butler beats FSU its a good win. When Duke beats them they are just a cellar dweller (who of course bet your squad Florida)

We all know that Simmons is a Boston guy, but this isn’t some blogger we’re talking about. This is supposedly ESPN’s #1 guy. His appeal is (was) that he was Joe Average Guy, writing about sports from a fan’s perspective. I used to read them pretty regularly, but like most of us I don’t care about what his dad thinks, or his wife, or get all misty eyed reminiscing about Greg Kite. Go write a fucking blog if you want to be a self indulgent homer.
