I know – usually Tiger has a lead going into the final round and players in his group wilt under the pressure. That’s why I was (a little) surprised when I saw he came back.

Yeah, Stenson rimmed out three or four times on some pretty long PUTTS. I think that was the source of his frustration. He was underclubbing all day as well. His shots were dead on line most of the day but short.

Shocked Ernie didn’t find a way to birdie one of those final two holes (a driveable par 4 and then the par 5). Seems if he just played conservatively that he could come up with a bird on one of those two holes, 90% of the time. Guess he was going for the win though.

Despite his greatness, Tiger doesn’t come back like that very often.

It was the second shot into the par 5 18th that Els put in the water. It was the same shot Tiger dumped in the water yesterday.

Tiger got over the water today on 18 but left himself an awkward like and he then hit a horrible chip. It was an unreal put he made to ultimately give him the win.

My boy Stenson could not get anything going today. He was even par on the day going to 17 but made some miscues trying to be aggressive on the last two holes. He needed a birdie and an eagle to tie Tiger.

Two clutch puts for Tiger on 17 and 18. He one putted every green on the back nine.
