The guy who is trying to sell the Steelers/Rooney family on feild turf was on the radio here in Nashville a few weeks ago (this Titans need the stuff for the same reason: TSU and high school tournaments shred the field)… you’ll never guess who it was:

Pitt needs their own damn stadium, just because they are a terrible school located in the ghetto with a horrible football team in a dreadful conference doesn’t mean they have to bring the steelers down with them.

oh, don’t get me wrong, i’d be pissed if the browns played on turf. i hate turf. but if you’re going to hold HS games AND pitt games there, you really need field turf, it’s only a matter of time until someone gets hurt.

NFL needs to start earlier.

the biggest problem with the turf is the number of games they play on it. it hasn’t taken well, which is a part of the problem, but Pitt plays its games there, and the friday after thanksgiving, the local high school championships are played (4 games in 1 day). it murders the field. the rooney’s like grass (so do I), and i think it ends up being a home field advantage, even if its just psychological from other teams bitching.

Yes, as awful as DA was, he got them in the endzone 3 times. As Spence said, the Defense were truly azzclowns last year. Willie Mc is collecting paychecks at this point, thank you Romeo.

john…what do you think about the HF turf? is this the year they finally change it even tho theyve been saying they’re gonna keep it? it gets so nasty in bad weather, tho those divots helped the browns out big time.
