Being outspoken doesn’t make one an effective politician. Reagan had years to perfect his brand of conservatism through radio shows, writings, conventions, and union leadership. Whether you liked him or not, everyone basically knew his positions before entering office.

Barkley is an NBA analyst who occasionally shoots from the hip. I enjoy his analysis and sense of humor as much as the next person, but he is a political lightweight.

I’ll reserve my opinion until I find out if he’s running as a republican or democrat.

Party lines in Alabama only include Alabamicans or Auburnites. Not sure who has the majority right now.
