Oregon will try to slay USC tonight in Autzen and take control of the Pac-10 … without suspended star running back LeGarrette Blount. Also, Oklahoma State will try to defeat Texas in Stillwater and ruin the Longhorns’ BCS Title game chances … without suspended star receiver Dez Bryant. Read the rest of this entry »
Brandon Jennings: Last night Brandon Jennings went for 17, 9 and 9. More impressive than that is the way he's handling his transition to the NBA. He lives in a condo less than a mile from the Bucks' training center. He bought a Ford Edge instead of a sports car so he can save money. Instead of partying on his birthday, he was in the gym with an assistant coach. Good for him on all counts. (

The late afternoon is highlighted by Tim Tebow and the #1 ranked Florida Gators playing the Georgia Bulldogs in Jacksonville. This is a battle of Good vs. Georgia, so you better tune in and root for Tebow. Otherwise, the terrorists have won.
#24 Cal and #19 Miami are also in action this afternoon. They aren’t playing each other though. If they were, they’d be playing at 8 pm on ESPN. That’s where ranked teams play each other. It’s called good scheduling.

Iowa, ranked 4th in the nation and poised to crash the BCS Championship game, has struggled mightily through three quarters at home against lowly Indiana. Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi has thrown five interceptions – four in the third quarter – and the Hawkeyes have turned the ball over six times. Indiana though, has only netted 10 points off those errors. Iowa just drew within 24-21 on a lucky 92-yard TD pass. [UPDATE: Iowa just scored on a 67-yard TD pass, Hawkeyes have their first lead, 28-24. A 10-point deficit was erased in less than three minutes. Wild game. UPDATE II: Following an interception, Iowa scored again, lead 35-24. That's three TDs in six minutes.]

OK, Clooney, Redford. Here are some more girls in Halloween costumes for you to argue about. And to make sure this isn’t a completely non-sports related post, here’s Blackhawks’ captain Jonathan Toews and winger Adam Burish dressed up as Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Over here, a less dudeish version of the costume. Read the rest of this entry »
Joanna Krupa still doesn't have anything nice to say about her Superstars' teammate Terrel Owens. "I wonder why he gets kicked off of every team he's ever been on," Krupa said. "He's not a team player. It's so shocking that I would experience the same things his other teammates have." FYI, she looks good in this video. (

Are pinstripes and Pedro Martinez really this fascinating or do the Tampa Bay Rays simply offer the mediocre sizzle of a Steak-umm?
Game 2 of the Fall Classic on Thursday night, which featured Pedro’s highly anticipated return to Yankee Stadium, resulted in the biggest year-to-year ratings gain for a World Series game in 19 years. Read the rest of this entry »

Maybe you can make up a drinking game for the early games like Andy LeFevour does. Andy is the older brother of Central Michigan quarterback Dan. The younger LeFevour (Dan) holds Mid-American Conference records in total yards (13,920), completions (1,009) and attempts (1,530). I won’t bore you with the details, but if you want to read about Dan LeFevour, click here. Meanwhile, feel free to talk college football. Take Central Michigan for instance. They’re playing Boston College.

Miranda Kerr doing some modeling stuff. More can be found here. It’s Halloween, but I covered that yesterday. Then again, I’ll probably cover it later as I search for material. Send tips people. They make the world go round.

The Bucks have declined Joe Alexander’s rookie option. Please don’t contact TBL about this. It’s hard enough as it is. (Yahoo!)

Good tip: The woman that tried to
rip off Notre Dame by changing a catering tip will have to repay
$16,859.79 of the $29,000. I can only assume she spent the rest on lawyer fees. She'll start paying ND back in November - 50 bucks a month for a long-ass time. (WNDU) (3)Oct 31
