If Miles suits up and plays, he goes back on the Blazers’ cap for this season right?
December 15th, 2008 at 8:06 am
Yes, that’s correct. $18 million.

The urinal cakes at the game were awesome.

TBL, you’re not getting it. You constantly SHOVING ROMO DOWN OUR THROATS is why some of us anti-Romo. You and the rest of the fucking media. The guy seems humble, genuine and not a fuck (and also a poor decision maker). But for fuck’s sake, let it rest.

I think Romo’s a great story. Three years ago, nobody outside of his family had heard of him. Undrafted. Dating starlets. QB of the most popular sports team in the united states. In interviews, he seems like a cool, laid back guy. He’s got moxie, and is a high risk, high reward guy – he’ll make great plays out of nothing, and then commit epic fuck-ups that come with the territory.
I like the guy. Others don’t. Life goes on …

It’s almost like someone being shoved down our throats via Sony, Mastercard, Sprint and DirecTV commercials.
December 15th, 2008 at 8:35 am
Hey, those companies are paying him to do that. TBL and the rest of the media is sucking Romo’s dick free of charge.

I think the Dark Knight for best picture is ludicrous, but dammit if this poster isn’t fucking awesome.

TBL, I didn’t know you were still writing at FanHouse:
I’m not a Cowboys fan. Far from it, in fact. Still, it’s hard not to like Tony Romo. He’s lovably goofy, which would make him something of a mascot if he wasn’t such a good quarterback. But it’s not his gutty performance against the Giants Sunday night in what can legitimately be described as a must-win game that merits a mention here, it’s how he so deftly handles the incandescent media glare in his “aw shucks”Gomer Pyle sorta way. It’s pretty amazing to watch, actually.

lol
lol
Can you imagine the nightmare if Romo took the Cowboys to the Super Bowl? We might have to put Sanders on suicide watch

I personally enjoyed the bottom line on ESPNEWS this morning:
“T Owens 8 Targets, 3 catches, J Witten 9 Targets, 5 catches..”
Maybe they can start running what they had for lunch and if Owens really likes Witten or the new foreign exchange reciever thats in algebra class.
December 15th, 2008 at 8:47 am
Oy. It wouldn’t be so much Romo as a media week full of TO and the marshmallow man behind the podium. But I’ll be the first to admit, another Manning Bowl would probably be much worse and we’d certainly see ESPN pull out that PM junior high dance thing again.
Anyone else find it hilarious how defensive ESPN is being over this whole TO calling Ed Werder a liar thing? Deion’s on the NFL Network basically calling for Werder’s head, while Trent Dilfer is saying TO will still destroy the Cowboys.

“T. Owens, 6 peanuts in morning shit. J. Witten, 4 peanuts in morning shit.”

No team has overcome more adversity this year than the Cincinnati Bengals. That they’ve managed to win 2 games and tie another is a testament to the strong coaching and good character players we have.

The New York Giants are jealous of both the Cincinnati Bengals’ winning ways and the relative lack of criminals on their roster.
December 15th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Eli Manning still can’t understand why when he gets sacked eight times John Madden shrugs it off like nothing, but when Romo gets hit half as many times he’s a courageous warrior. Doesn’t he know Eli Manning is unstoppable?
December 15th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Jessica is supposed to make us like Tony Romo? She looks like she needs to mix in a salad in that pic.
December 15th, 2008 at 9:15 am
@NickP – I couldn’t have said it better myself.
December 15th, 2008 at 9:28 am
I’m not kidding, she looks enormous. Did she eat the Jessica Simpson from Dukes of Hazzard?
