Apparently, this is Brian Giles hitting his girlfriend. Of course I can’t actually watch the video. (Breitbart)

Its enough to put him away even though there is no possible way to tell if it is him, her, or the “female body being flung to the floor” is even a human being. A jury would probably eat it up.

@phatjohnson — There are about 20 witnesses in that bar, many of whom will almost certainly be able to easily identify him.
That one guy, who clearly saw the “shove/punch” comes out and acts out what he just saw “Giles” do to her.

That video is a deal breaker for Giles… if he’d do that in a public bar he’d definitely beat her into a miscarriage when no one else was around. He’s lost all credibility in front of a judge or jury.

@sportsdork: listen, I’m not defending the guy, if he hit her I hope he rots in hell. My comment was saying that the video isn’t concrete evidence of anything. You’re right though, if those people testify, he’ll probably go to jail like he should.
I don’t know about that. He is Brian Giles. He plays baseball in a city full of warm weather fans. I’d say Derek Jeter is easily recognizable, A-Rod, Manny, David Ortiz, etc. Brian Giles? Not so much. I consider myself an above average baseball fan and honestly if Brian Giles walked past me on the street I’d probably not recognize him. He looks like most other white dudes.
@irish: OJ killed two people and got away with it. Brian Giles can probably hire a decent enough lawyer to put reasonable doubt into a grainy ass surveillance video in which you can’t see either party in quesions face.
