Sexing Up The Sports Reporters
ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings December 21st. 2008, 3:05pmESPN’s The Sports Reporters and FMB’s have never really gone hand in hand, have they? The show has always stayed true to a pretty basic formula, and miraculously been one of the few, if not only programs that ESPN hasn’t toyed with or completely redesigned into a spaceship-looking backdrop.
I imagine the most skin ever seen on this program since the show’s inception has been Bob Ryan’s ankles. You know, one of those unfortunate Sunday mornings where he struts onto the set wearing suit pants that are three inches too short and starts screaming about the lack of respect for Doc Rivers.
Well, this morning marked the debut of Kim Jones and her fuck-me-boots. For those of you who don’t know, Jones works for the YES Network and the early morning show on WFAN. In general, she has an annoying face voice that I find difficult to get past.
If this becomes a regular thing on The Sports Reporters, which could be successful if gone about the right way, let’s not be morons. Get Hazel Mae in the boots. Or fly Ines Sainz in from Mexico.
After all, no one’s complaining about SportsCenter’s boot movement.

great screen shot, SH.
thanks for nothing, Warner. I probably will lose 2 of my 3 fantasy title games. dammit!
come on Rivers, win this one! 27-24 SD
December 21st, 2008 at 3:16 pm
and garcia throws a pick! yes!
December 21st, 2008 at 3:17 pm
saints just finished an 8 play drive up 35-7 with six passes and two runs. Think Payton/Brees want that record much?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:18 pm
God, do the games on Fox suck. I’m watching ARI/NE on that is the best game.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:19 pm
Even Moose wants to talk about something else than this game. Fuck Fox. Back the “the history of Christmas” for me…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:25 pm
And Ben’s pick leads to another Titans TD. He’s directly responsible for a 21 point swing today.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:26 pm
come on rivers, you have to go half the field and chew up 5-6 mins and get a TD to put this game on ice and make next sunday interesting.
can you pull it off?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:30 pm
TD, chargers!
but wayyyyy too much time left for this one to be over
December 21st, 2008 at 3:31 pm
meow.
Fox continues to force me to watch the pathetic Pats-Cards game, I’d rather watch the Lions get raped then watch this.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Only if the Doncos lose to the Bills.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Ben fumbles – again. Lineman falls on this one though.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:33 pm
matt leinart looks like a rattled 3rd stringer
December 21st, 2008 at 3:34 pm
If by “make next Sunday interesting”, I assume you mean the NFC wild card race, because Denver sure as hell isn’t losing to Buffalo today.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:34 pm
sanders – no, im talking about cowboys/eagles game
dallas needs TB to lose, and atlanta (i believe)
December 21st, 2008 at 3:35 pm
TBL is a Cowboy fan…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:35 pm
Garcia got fucked the hell up! Playing with blood pouring down his face!!
December 21st, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Oh right, figured it had to be something with the Cowboys.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:37 pm
“TBL is a Cowboy fan…”
It sure as hell seems that way…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Leinhart really sucks.
Romo > Leinhart(barely)
December 21st, 2008 at 3:38 pm
Drew Stanton is in. Why wasn’t he given an chance eariler in the season?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:38 pm
So if the Pats get up 54-0, will Fox switch to a different game?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:39 pm
He’s been injured.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:40 pm
garcia throws a pick six, baby!!!
Dallas remains alive
let’s go Vikings!
so Dallas-Philly next week is huge
December 21st, 2008 at 3:42 pm
Prediction: Cowboys #3 in this week’s power poll based on potential of still making playoffs
December 21st, 2008 at 3:42 pm
nope, jets fan.
do find the cowboys fun to watch. also, since they’re the most popular team in the league (see comscore posts, if you’re in doubt), they’re on TV the most, you know their players, etc, etc.
plus, a 4 pm winner-take-all game next week will be lots of fun.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:44 pm
Ben fumbles again – lineman falls on it.
/not a duplicate post
December 21st, 2008 at 3:44 pm
December 21st, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Dallas-Philly should be fantastic next week, winner gets a playoff spot.
(if philly wins today)
/knock on wood, cross fingers, go out side turn around and spit 3 times’d
December 21st, 2008 at 3:46 pm
I live in Texas. I watch all of the cowboy games. It was fun to watch them give up two 70+ yard runs yesterday. They suck pure ass.
You like them because they are popular? So are the Lakers and you don’t give them half the slurp.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Is it a winner-take-all game though? Do Cowboys win a tiebreaker at 10-6 with TB and Atlanta?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Wait, The Chargers can still make the playoffs? Denver better win.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Steelers have given up. They’ll take the “bye” next week against the Browns and then the actual bye week, and pick it up again in 3 weeks.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:50 pm
ATL only have 5 losses…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:52 pm
Even taking the bye against the Browns, I think they’ll still win.
Too bad Detroit doesn’t have the Browns left…because they are the one team that could help avoid 0-16.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:52 pm
Brees needs 400 yards next week for the record. 317 for 5,000.
December 21st, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Until this evening (most likely)…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Cedric Benson, 38 carries for 171 yards. The Bengals only attempted 9 passes. I wonder when the last an NFL attempted single-digit passes was?
December 21st, 2008 at 3:57 pm
Charger fans better hope they dont make the playoffs, you know AJ will use that as an excuse to keep Norv around another year even if they sneak in and get punted out in round 1
December 21st, 2008 at 3:58 pm
if atlanta loses, then it’s philly, atlanta, chicago, and Tampa Bay fighting for two wild-card spots. Dallas beat Tampa Bay. That’s all I know…
December 21st, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Fitzgerald pleasing his fantasy owners with a late 78 yd TD catch.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:00 pm
LEINHART WITH A BOMB TO FITZFERALD!! TOUCHDOWN CARDINALS!! IT’S NOT OVER YET!!!!
/Gus’d
December 21st, 2008 at 4:00 pm
fitzgerald even
December 21st, 2008 at 4:01 pm
“if atlanta loses, then it’s philly, atlanta, chicago, and Tampa Bay fighting for two wild-card spots. Dallas beat Tampa Bay. That’s all I know…”
Per ESPN, Chicago is eliminated from WC consideration, only can win division. Washington is actually mathematically still alive for WC.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Looks like the Titans will rise to #4 in TBL’s power poll.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:02 pm
For good measure, Ben throws a Pick 6 at the end of the game. 4 fumbles (2 lost) and 2 picks. Jackass. Hopefully he has it out of his system now for the playoffs.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:03 pm
how is washington still alive wih seven losses but chicago is not with six?
December 21st, 2008 at 4:04 pm
In other meaningless news, SL appears to have pissed away another win.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:06 pm
“how is washington still alive wih seven losses but chicago is not with six?”
I agree…that makes no sense, does it? I was just repeating what they said. But they are definitely wrong.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:16 pm
nope. like to watch them is different from ‘like them.’ been a lakers fan from the first time i saw a game in 1985. lakers-knicks was the first game i went to, and i began to like both teams. my love for the lakers faded after the kobe-shaq split.
December 21st, 2008 at 4:16 pm
HOLY SHIT! just saw that Fitzgerald caught a 78 yard TD!!!!!
so awesome, even if leinart didnt throw it. that gets me back in both fantasy title games
December 21st, 2008 at 4:18 pm
ah, fuck it. just saw that my opponent in the big money league had the titans D. that late pick six against Ben Big might have been the final killer. dammit
December 21st, 2008 at 4:19 pm
This Raiders-Texans game is starting out pretty good. Too bad it’s for nothing…
December 21st, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Also thoroughly enjoys a glass of white zin while watching Duke basketball and Notre Dame football
December 21st, 2008 at 4:40 pm
can’t stand Duke hoops. come on, man, dont you read the posts?
indifferent about ND football, but like dallas, they’re on TV weekly, so it’s hard to not watch
December 21st, 2008 at 4:44 pm
So I take it you blame Kobe for the split. Me? I blame Romo…
December 21st, 2008 at 5:21 pm
Zima > White Zin
December 21st, 2008 at 5:23 pm
I thought Kim Jones was a blonde.
That’s an awfully C-level person to be on the Reporters. At least Michael Kay is the voice of the Yankees and has an ESPN radio show.

“That’s an awfully C-level person to be on the Reporters”
It’s the Hols, Lot’s of the candidates are off covering something somewhere warm and the others are off on holiday, somewhere warm.
December 21st, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Just a joke, don’t unleash the gunz
December 21st, 2008 at 6:03 pm
you mean lupica can’t find a semi-hot chick outside of new york to appear on the show?
December 21st, 2008 at 6:43 pm
She was, she’s pretty butchered either way.
