Cereal, Bowls, Get It?
College Football December 27th. 2008, 1:10pmToday’s mediocre bowl lineup features programs you surely have heard of:
North Carolina vs. West Virginia
Florida State vs. Wisconsin
Miami vs. California
The subplots are decent – Pat White’s stellar career comes to an end; Bobby Bowden; the suspension-plagued bad boys against a 2009 Heisman candidate. The pathetic ACC, which beat up on the mighty SEC this season, will go 3-0 today. That’s our prediction, based on absolutely nothing.

The SEC is about to win its 4th BCS title in 6 years, and its 5th in the BCS Era. Who gives a shit if Duke beat Vanderbilt?
FSU wins. The other two–not so fast.

One thing I noticed in the WVU-UNC game. All of the WVU players genuinely look/appear dumber than the UNC guys.

If Cal loses I’ll be shocked. The game is being played in Cal’s backyard and Miami is starting a freshman QB with guys being suspended all over the place. Also Pat White trying to become the first player ever to win 4 bowl games as a starting qb.

ESPN’s streak for the cash makes me root against my own picks just because my friend’s in our “non-gambling” group have put more points on the line in certain matchups. Can’t think of many other scenario’s where I’m rooting against my own picks to win money. I mean, not win money, because who would try to make meaningless bowls more interesting by putting money on the line?

oh my god interesting football

Of course, I’m left to wonder what LSU would have done this year if Saban wouldn’t have recruited Pat White as a defensive back.

West Virginia (-2)
Wisconsin (+6)
Cal (-10.5)
We need a Festivus miracle to pull off this parlay…I was under the impression that the Mountaineers didn’t suck ass on defense

Who the hell does Wisconsin have that is a Heisman candidate? Does P.J. Hill have another year of eligibility? Do you really think he is a Heisman candidate??

I pray that ESPN “retires” the commercial soon with that gigantic douchebag watching his ESPN fantasy players on his cell phone while riding that damn horse during his honeymoon.
I have literally seen that commercial a million times now. And I still don’t want it.

Over 8 minutes of action in the LSU/Wazzu basketball game. 7 points have been scored.
By both teams. Combined.

looks to be a bad month for the state of ohio.

UNC/WVU a field goal away from hitting the over…in the first half. Go gambling!
December 27th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I don’t get it.

WCT the Heisman candidate is Cal’s running back, against Miami, who has had a lot of suspensions. Try and keep up.

believer in Cal, or is it the miami suspensions?
December 27th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Diesel, I think this Florida State team has had a few (dozen) more suspension than this years Miami team.
December 27th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
They are both out for thug life but Miami has been in the news more recently about multiple suspensions for the bowl game
December 27th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
I hadn’t heard about any Miami suspensions, I just know that FSU had at least two games where they could barely field a roster because they had so many guys suspended
December 27th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
so much for 3-0
December 27th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
damn, just saw the highlights of this Nicks kid … great game
December 27th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Nicks has size, speed, hands, and toughness. He would be foolish not to turn pro after that performance. He had one great catch where he pinned the ball to his left hip, rolled it across his back, almost went between his legs, and then transferred it to the other hand. Unf’nbelievable.

I think I should get half my money back for the parlay loss…it has to be just as hard to go 0-3 as it is to go 3-0
