Was I the only one who saw Wedding Crashers and immediately went home and IMDB’d Isla Fischer?
January 13th, 2009 at 8:10 am
No.
January 13th, 2009 at 8:11 am
Love her accent

I’m not saying Mickey Rourke didn’t use steroids for his role in The Wrestler, but has anyone seen his physique in the awful Get Carter remake? It’s a lost more indicative of steroid abuse. Or his build in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. If anything, he looks a bitter leaner and more stripped down in The Wrestler. So I guess I’m saying, yeah, he probably did steroids, I just don’t know when.

God, I can’t spell this morning.

“I want Salma Hayek’s boobs”

Get Carter was an unwatchable piece of garbage. matter of fact, most of what stallone has done in the last 15 years is excrement.

Oh man TBL. Don’t you dare blaspheme Rambo. That movie was probably the most straight up awesome movie of the year. Not particularly good mind you. But pretty damn awesome.
Plus, I’ll even defend Rocky Balboa. As a Rocky fanatic, it pleased me because it meant 1.) Rocky V wasn’t the end of the series and 2.) Since Rocky V doesn’t exist, Rocky goes out on a serious note. I love Rocky IV to death but the movie is really a disservice to the character that the first movie established. He deserved a serious send out and I think he got it.
That all being Balboa had a terrible training montage.

I’ve always thought Stallone was overrated. Everything he’s done is comical. Tango n Cash, Over the Top and Cobra are his “best” films.

Please forgive my terrible grammar in that previous post. I feel my points are still clear, just poorly written.
I’ve not seen the new Get Carter, but I found the original truly disappointing. I think it’s because I’ve grown up in an era where body counts are much higher than that movie. But, when a movie promises a gangster cutting a bloody swathe through the seedy underbelly of a city, the body count should probably be higher than what Dirty Harry leaves behind on a typical afternoon.

Who rates Stallone well?
January 13th, 2009 at 8:35 am
@Ty: The same people who enjoy non-Terminator Schwarzenegger movies. If you don’t mind some cheese in your movies, Stallone delivers.

How dare you guys blaspheme Stop or My Mom Will Shoot!

Did Mickey Rourke use steroids to bulk up for The Wrestler?
Of course he did.
Megan = Hot > Tatoo = dumb.

This is, without a doubt, the best thing I’ll read all day. Gotta love Alec Baldwin, even when he was coked out during the 80’s
January 13th, 2009 at 8:39 am
I say that everytime I see her. But, I want other parts too. Just for a couple hours.
January 13th, 2009 at 8:40 am
Nevermind, found another gem.

Salma Hayek has the best clothed strip scene in movie history (Dogma).
January 13th, 2009 at 8:47 am
@Bsanders: God, Gervais is great
January 13th, 2009 at 8:48 am
Gervais is the man. I wonder why Extras doesn’t get more love.
January 13th, 2009 at 8:49 am
Sparty -
Have you ever seen From Dusk till Dawn? IIRC, she’s a vampire stripper.
January 13th, 2009 at 8:51 am
Here she is.

Wow, this movie is finally coming out, probably due to Mickey Rourke’s heat from The Wrestler. It was filmed in Cape Girardeau, Missouri about an hour from where I went to college. They filmed it during my junior year. I graduated in 2005. That’s what I call having a movie “on the shelf.”
January 13th, 2009 at 8:55 am
@NickP: Probably because it’s too much about what it’s like to be in Hollywood (something I can’t relate to) and not enough about Ian McKellen telling you “How [he] acts so well.”
Well, that and not enough Clive Owen declaring things mental.

Live every week like its shark week.
January 13th, 2009 at 9:00 am
@Brave: I thought the Winslet episode was probably the funniest. What a great show, though.
Oh, and the Bowie episode.
January 13th, 2009 at 9:02 am
I’m not sure I like him carrying a movie. But, I love the Office. I love Extras and the podcasts are just genius.
January 13th, 2009 at 9:10 am
@NickP: I’ve only seen the first season and those clips I mentioned from the second season.
@Ty: What podcasts? And have you seen his Politics stand up show?
January 13th, 2009 at 9:17 am
Demolition man was watchable.
I dont know what to believe.

Mickey Rourke… the Wrestler… steroids.
Yeah, makes sense. It’s called *method acting*. In fact, it would fit perfectly with the character (from what I hear).
