Gosh It Would be Cool if Obama Invited Utah to the White House
1-liner, College Football, Politics January 13th. 2009, 11:45amObama and the BCS: “Asked about the prospect of bringing USC, Utah and Texas to the White House along with Florida — an idea that has also been floated by the football-loving political unit of NBC News — and the notion of more generally keeping up the playoff drumbeat, Obama press secretary and Auburn University devotee Robert Gibbs said of his boss, ‘I think the role he thinks he can play is as a high profile [figure] who will continue to speak out until college football has the playoff its fans deserve.’” Love it. Even if this topic is dead to you, there’s a funny picture of Obama holding the Heisman striking the pose. (Politico)

I only wish there was less shit going on in the world now so maybe this could happen.

Can he also invite Tex, USC, and Utah when these bowls get their tax exempt status taken away?

Would people PLEASE lay off Obama and the BCS! He has WAY too many important things going on to worry about this.
I saw on the Today Show AND Anderson Cooper last night that he has narrowed the choice of his puppy down to a Labradoodle or a Portuguese Water Dog. For God’s sake, let the man breathe!
/already planning a vacation next week to Canada so the river of jizz that will be spewing from Washington doesn’t drown me here in Florida

Saw the picture. What year did Erkel win the Heisman?

Good to hear you survived the Tebow jizz floods of the last few days

@Lance: I was knee deep when he was in Miami. It was touch and go. Thank God he’s back in Tallahassee, so it’s receding. Got a little nervous about the Midwest yesterday w/ Dungy, but the levees seem to be holding
January 13th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Levees are much stronger in florida than NO.
January 13th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
Wow jpq you really don’t like Obama. Why?
January 13th, 2009 at 12:12 pm
That’s not Steve Erkel, it’s Stefan Urquelle
January 13th, 2009 at 12:14 pm
Doesn’t all this country’s shit and sewage end up in Florida anyway?

I do kinda like him. I hate the abject love and blowing of the guy, like I did w/ Dungy yesterday, Tebow last week and Favre for the last 10 years. Black or white, male or female, doesn’t matter to me. They get oversold to me and force fed that I’m supposed to think they’re the next Gandhi or Mother Teresa, the more I pushback.
Someone (sandibalz?) said something like that earlier. I feel the same way. The more unabashed love and hype someone gets, I seem to try a little harder to not like the person. Must be I’m a little contrarian (or just fucked up) in nature.
Doesn’t all this country’s shit and sewage end up in Florida anyway?
ABSOLUTELY! lol

So he’s gonna talk a lot but not actually *DO* anything about it?

Rewarding people for things they didn’t earn: The Obama Way.

Wouldn’t be the first time a president intervened into college football

obviously Barack has more important things to deal with so he will probably have to put this on the back burner. On the other hand I do think there are rational people who say the sport has been doing fine without a playoff for over a century so no need for one now.

Yes, and it’s the republican way to take an idea Obama didn’t suggest and claiming Obama said it.
