Kerry Collins Has the Gall to Drop an Ultimatum on the Titans
1-liner, NFL January 13th. 2009, 10:45amTennessee Titans: They want Kerry Collins back. He says he’ll only return if he’s the starter. Imagine if you’re the Titans. You look at Vince Young’s tape from the Rose Bowl. Then from last season. Then from early this season. Clearly, he regressed. According to Merril Hoge, Young got “soft.” On the other hand, you have Collins, a lead-footed, mistake-prone guy (186 TDs, 179 ints) 35-year-old with a big arm. We’d just ask Chris Johnson who he feels more comfy with, and go with that. (Tennessean)

Would be funnier to watch the wonderlicker run that team into the ground, so I say let Kerry walk.

Let Collins go, give VY another shot and draft another QB this year. It’s not like they’re going to draft a WR, they haven’t shown an interest in doing that during any of the previus drafts.

Peter King tore into Young pretty good this week. Not sure I would call Kerry mistake prone based on career stats, he’s played on some bad teams. Kerry gives them a better chance to win now.

I think you keep Collins and do your best to get young out of there and try to get a franchise QB in the next draft or two. Young will never be a star QB in the league. His mental make up is totally shot making him borderline useless to the Titans. Maybe he can start anew elsewhere. The Titans’ defense and running game will keep them competitive so they have a year or two to look for Collins’ replacement.

Matt. Cassel.

The Pats aren’t going to let them get Cassel. They would have to give up a first and a third plus sign him to a deal bigger than Shaub’s and that is not going to happen.

Danny Wuerffel looked great in college too…VY hasn’t regressed, he never was that good in the NFL and I’m still surprised that more people didn’t see this coming

PA announcer at Arena game in front of 5,500 people :
Now starting at Quarterback for YOUR….. Dallas Desperados…….Vince……..Young!!!!!!!!!!!
Set off cheesy smoke bombs and “Pump up the Volume” played at 125 decibels as Vince Trots out in his slick black, white and blue uni
It was all set, then those assholes went and suspended the season. Now he’ll have to work at Piggly Wiggly like Warner did.

If I’m the Titans, I’ll take either Collins or Simms next year over Vince Young. If they let them walk, I hope that the Jets grab one of them.

chris simms won’t win anything.
