Hopeful For a Clarett Family Reunion in the Ohio State Pen
Uncategorized September 30th. 2006, 3:41pm
There’s no confirmation on this, but a reader sent us this interesting tip: Are Maurice Clarett and his older brother, Michael, serving identical 4 1/2 year sentences in Ohio prisons?
We know Maurice can’t get his Goose on for at least three years. But his brother, Michael is also doing time for various drug-related activity.
Mike’s in the Ohio State Pen; Maurice seems to be in Correctional Rehab Center. Still, we’re hopeful for a family reunion.

Not 100% certain, but here’s the second mention of a brother named Mike …

Then in July 2003, Clarett became the center of an academic scandal when a teaching assistant told the The New York Times that Clarett had received preferential treatment from a professor. An investigation insued that later concluded there was no solid evidence of academic misconduct. It was at this time that the Toldeo Blade reported that Clarett’s “older brother, Mike, had some brushes with the law. Gangs roamed Clarett’s neighborhood in Youngstown, and gunfire was common…”

Hey Tom,
Why does it matter if the both don’t look alike? Do you really think that they actually both have the same Father given the gang neighborhood they supposedly grew up in?

I think they look a lot alike!
Have some more Ohio State criminal fun by looking up Art Schlichter in the Indiana pen. No picture, though.

Clarett’s father (also named Mike) is no deadbeat. He’s worked for Ohio’s Secretary of State Ken Blackwell (currently running for governor) for 12 years.
