Two years ago, Sarah Spain become a minor internet sensation/laughingstock when she tried to auction herself off to get to Miami and watch her favorite team, the Bears, play in the Super Bowl.
Two years later, she’s chest-bumping Arizona Cardinals on media day while working for the Best Damn Sports Show. Somewhere, Jenn Sterger weeps.

The fact that stuff like this occurs while hardworking people who truly do a good job makes me sick to my stomach.
Not to sound like an old man (trust me, I’m Gen Y), but the fact that our generation is all about ratings/web hits/clicks/views is absurd. People need to stop trying so hard.

I third that. How about a Mini-Media-Musings Roundup every other day with all the finds combined? I understand the rush to post, but I don’t come here for breaking news. It’s an excellent resource for stuff I’m too lazy to search for.
BTW, Spain > Sterger, in more ways than one.

I AM an old man (kinda), and i couldn’t agree more. For the life of me, i cannot figure out wtf most of these idiots are planning on doing with their lives when they don’t even get the “15 minutes” they’re looking for. They wouldn’t know how to work hard if it hit them over the head

At least she put out. So many get jobs just because of their looks, Sarah went the extra mile.
