as a Titans fan, the fact that Lendale hasn’t gained 20 pounds makes his four pound loss a 24 pound turnaround. that’s progress.

4 pounds?
I lose 4 pounds every day around 3!

Please say a prayer for the people who died in the plane crash in Buffalo. I used to live two miles from where it hit, and knew people on the plane, including the “9/11 widow” who was to present a scholarship at my old high school today (Tim Russert’s alma mater also).
Thanks

Lord look at that kid’s face… I have no words.

jpq – i just saw about the 9/11 widow on GMA. terrible stuff. stories are trickling out slowly about the passengers … what’s the word up there on what happened? ice? wind?
February 13th, 2009 at 8:25 am
The people I talked to overnight aren’t sure if it was ice or not. That’s the initial thought. I will probably be flying back to Buffalo over the weekend once all the names are released.
February 13th, 2009 at 8:31 am
jpq – I too grew up 6 miles from where it happened. Haven’t been back in years, but I’ll be saying some prayers for everyone today.

Why, because they want to stay in business?
February 13th, 2009 at 8:39 am
Having now read that swimsuit issue column, I have full confidence in saying that guy is a tool. Does he realize how much the swimsuit issue contributes to SI’s bottom line? I’m pretty sure it’s at least 11% of their total revenue. “They want to be serious journalists.” Get off your soapbox, taintdweller. And to say Selena Roberts “probably” objects to the swimsuit issue simply because she’s a woman is so antiquated, just like the version of journalism this guy thinks still exists. Absolute tool.

What the NBA lags in the “WAG” department, it more than makes up for in the “Baby-Momma” category.

all you people who own homes out there: does your homeowner’s insurance cover a plane crashing into the house?
February 13th, 2009 at 8:43 am
By the way Alomar’s gf looks like one of those muscular chicks that A-Rod would want.

Read the first paragraph of the Food Shortage link. Maybe a little dramatic to be predicting a collapse of civilization. Maybe.
The guts of this article spoke to the declining production in poverty sricken countries, very little of this spoke to production in fairly stable countries. Also, most of this spoke to countries with very sketchy governments that have been poorly run from the start.
Then it’s finished with a paragraph of solutions that sound like they are from a tree hugging douche that seem unattainable.
I am all for taking an stock on what the future might hold, and then what can be done to help solve the problem. But, these are the kind of half-assed articles that mean very little. Look, if we want to talk about food shortage and poverty, our first conversation should start with how we fix the problems within our own borders, and then, if there is room for us to help other we move to that conversation. In the mean time I don’t give a fuck what happens to people in other countries at this current time.
Very little has been spoken about how, within the US, that we have survived depressions, food shortages, fuel shortages, civil unrest, etc. There seems to be very little faith in people being able to come together to get through a very difficult time.

terrible news about the plane crashing in Clarence. I lived in Western New York for 20+ years. just horrible

Britain = Florida – in a teacher/student sex, 1000 animals in a house, murder, crazy way?
no way that kid is the dad. right?
February 13th, 2009 at 8:48 am
that story very well could’ve been written in the Onion. funny stuff. nice parenting by the new grandparents. congrats.
Sorry JPQ. That’s a terrible thing about everyone on board, especially sad about the 9/11 widow.

I’m pretty sure the New Times is a free paper in most major cities on the West Coast. Calling it a Phoenix newspaper that got a story wrong is like saying a Dallas Newspaper got a story wrong because they misprinted an ad in a pennysaver.
Don’t get me wrong though, Phoenix newspapers totally suck.

And she’s the same weird orangish color as he is.
This must be the most absurd question ever posted here.
Eva Longoria as #1?! Come one now. She went from cute and perky to kinda frumpy real quick. Almost coincided with her getting married. Funny how that works…
February 13th, 2009 at 9:04 am
Seeing that picture of Ray Allen reminds me of when the Bucks sported the ugliest team in the history of sports. His wife is pretty though. All the WAG’s were decent but none were incredibly hot, which their girlfriends probably are.
February 13th, 2009 at 9:10 am
Yeah, reading it back it seems quite outrageous and insensitive.
February 13th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Miranda Kerr is likely a couple of inches shorter than me, but oddly, her legs are taller than I am. It’s like the GOAT of optical illusions.
February 13th, 2009 at 11:12 am
Fake.
Funny how you tards think the parents have anyway of stopping it. Moron.
In other words you don’t know the answer. I do. It is only covered under Terrorist Insurance, if a terrorist has highjacked the plane then yes, otherwise if a plane randomly flys into your house, no.
