Fox analyst Michael Strahan had recently become so paranoid his girlfriend Nicole Murphy was cheating on him that he installed a tracking device on her Range Rover. Amazingly, this is the second time he’s used this tactic since they began dating in 2007.

But his intuition was correct, as Murphy had apparently been using the customary “business trip” excuse to spend time with Universal Records A&R executive, Demetrius Spencer. (Might want to get a little more creative with that one Nicole, considering you um, don’t work.)

According to the unflappable New York Post, the wheels came off when she took the car in for a check-up:

Things came to a head after Spencer and Murphy took her Range Rover to a luxury dealership in Thousand Oaks, California. Mechanics quickly discovered the tracking apparatus. Murphy and Spencer went to have lunch while the tracer was removed. Seconds later, Strahan barged into the garage, “yelling and screaming,” a source said. Strahan walked over, ripped it off the dashboard and stormed out of the shop.

Incredible. Sounds like an awful movie on USA. One would think seven Pro Bowls, a Super Bowl ring and a high profile status like his would inspire psycho behavior such as this from Murphy, not the reverse.

But Strahan is a seasoned veteran at these spy games, most notably during his 2006 divorce trial, where his ex-wife Jean revealed the tireless, horny lineman went for the sack and the fumble by installing a secret video system to record her sister undressing.

Finally, if you’re looking at that picture of Nicole Murphy and thinking of that old TV show “V”, you’re not alone.
